Role

PPM Solar is looking for a highly motivated and seasoned Sales Manager to recruit, train, develop, and lead our PPM Sales team. Our Sales Managers drive success in the thriving renewable energy industry and enhance sales operations and team performance. This role requires exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and a customer-first approach. Our Sales Managers promote PPM Solar’s mission of accelerating the transition to sustainable energy by implementing effective sales strategies, fostering team collaboration, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. This position supports our shared vision by building a high-performing team, cultivating strong client relationships, and identifying opportunities to grow our presence in the renewable energy market.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of sales consultants, fostering a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets while upholding quality and ethical standards.
  • Mentor the Sales team to generate leads, build client relationships, and close deals effectively.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, industry stakeholders, and partners to drive business growth and brand recognition.
  • Oversee pricing, positioning, and promotion of products/services to optimize market performance.
  • Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams (including our marketing and operations teams) to refine processes and align PPM priorities.
  • Monitor sales KPI (key performance indicator) metrics, making data-driven decisions to enhance team performance.
  • Manage sales activities, including contract negotiations and customer relationship management.
  • Communicate clear goals and expectations, linking them to team performance and revenue growth.

 

 

Qualifications

 

Experience and Expertise

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales and marketing management roles, preferably in the solar energy industry.
  • Proven leadership abilities with a track record of guiding and motivating high-performing teams.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of commercial solar technologies and customer pipeline management.
  • Advanced analytical skills to interpret data and provide actionable strategic recommendations.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills for engaging clients and stakeholders effectively.

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

 

Skills and Attributes

  • Excellent communication skills across all levels, including sales team members, clients, and executives.
  • Solution-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving business needs.

 

Additional Requirements

  • Prior experience in product management is a plus.
  • In-depth understanding of the renewable energy market, including competitive trends and customer needs.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% as required.
  • Proven integrity and commitment to maintaining high ethical standards.

 

Compensation

The compensation range for this position is $120,000.00 – $350,000.00 per year. The base salary is based on experience, with a team-based sales commission added. Annual compensation of $300k+ is expected to be earned annually. This position is full-time (40 hours a week) and on-site in our Gainesville office.Compensation will be reassessed.
