Client’s motivation to switch solar

Upon the advice of their tax advisor, the Hines family installed a rooftop solar panel array to combat the ever-increasing utility costs and enhance the value of their home. “Our tax and financial advisor suggested adding a solar energy system to stabilize our energy costs and immediately increase the value of our home,” explains Eric Hines. “We wanted a steady electric bill and a rate of return that would provide a means of recuperating our money in the shortest amount of time,” and installing solar is the solution that he and his wife, Karen, selected in 2021.

Also tired of the ever-increasing energy cost from their utility company, the Hines’ knew that installing solar would lower their monthly energy costs. Before going solar, their summer electric bills would far exceed $500.00 monthly. They said utility bills now range from just the monthly connectivity fee of $12.00 to maybe as high as $175.00.
