Lead Electrician/Journeyman

PPM Solar is actively seeking a Journeyman Electrician to join our expanding team. While previous solar experience is appreciated, it’s not a requirement. What we’re looking for is your proven electrical proficiency, strong communication skills, problem-solving ability, and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities and Duties

As a Journeyman Electrician at PPM Solar, you will:

– Secure mounting structures to roofs.

– Conduct electrical wiring (both AC and DC).

– Handle utility interconnections from inverter output.

– Pull and terminate conductors up to 750MCM.

– Complete all job-related documentation.

– Regularly participate in training and safety sessions.

– Maintain cleanliness at job sites.

– Perform car charger and battery installations.

– Operate equipment such as scissor lifts, boom lifts, trenchers, and skid steers.

Requirements

– Must hold a Journeyman license, and have a minimum of 4 years of electrical experience.

– Own necessary tools and possess the ability to work without constant supervision.

– Proficient in handling PVC, EMT, IMC, and RMC conduit up to 4″.

– Must have current OSHA 30 certification or be able to obtain within 30 days of employment.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This role requires lifting up to 75 pounds and working in various weather conditions. Your commitment to safety will be key.
