It all began with a career in the construction industry, where he founded his own company in Baltimore, Maryland. However, a move to Florida in 2005 set the stage for a notable change.
In Florida, Alex transitioned into quality control and inspection, initially starting as an inspection technician at Universal Engineering Sciences. With an insatiable appetite for knowledge and a relentless work ethic, he swiftly advanced from technician to management within a year. By 2007, at age 23, he had become a quality control manager for multiple high-budget roadway and bridge projects.
It was during this time that Alex’s life took a pivotal turn. A chance meeting with colleague Jason Gonos introduced him to the exciting world of solar energy. The concept of harnessing the sun’s power to provide clean, sustainable energy resonated deeply with Alex.
The Birth of PPM Solar
In 2009, fueled by passion and a desire to bring solar energy into the mainstream market of Florida, Alex co-founded PPM Solar with Jason Gonos.
