PPM Staff Spotlight – Hadley Price, Local Marketer

In a landscape where personal connection and community engagement make all the difference, meet Hadley Price, our exceptional Local Marketer at PPM Solar. Hadley is far more than a brand promoter; he is the bridge that spans the distance between our company and you, our valued customers. With an in-depth understanding of our client personas and regional specificities, he doesn’t just bring our services to the local level—he brings the local level to us. Through strategic communication, focused outreach, and an unparalleled expertise in what our local clientele truly need, Hadley is instrumental in not only elevating our brand but in deepening our relationships within the community we serve.

A harmonious blend of talent and tenacity

Hadley is more than just a marketer; he’s also a dedicated solar industry veteran, entrepreneur, talented musician, and father. He has not only been a crucial part of our team for the past few years but also had a stint with PPM back in 2012. His longstanding association with us puts him practically at the origins of the PPM Solar we know today.

Aside from his role in the solar industry, Hadley is a gifted musician—a pianist and vocalist. With a career in music and business, he has impressively found a way to balance his passion for music with his professional life in the solar sector.

From Gainesville roots to entrepreneurial routes

Hadley’s roots are deeply embedded in Gainesville, where he grew up and attended high school. Interestingly, his father also served as a detective with the local police department. Following his early years, Hadley attended Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee, where he was part of a gospel band that produced a vinyl album in 1976—a fun fact that adds a layer to his already colorful life!

He’s lived a life of exploration, having traveled across the country before he “packed up the van and the cat and the kid” and moved out to Oregon in 1982. And by 1984, Hadley had tapped into his “unusual aptitude” for computers. This led him to build a career, and eventually businesses, in the computer repair and services industry—a journey that lasted until the early 2000s.

From tech entrepreneur to solar innovator

After selling his businesses in 2002, Hadley continued to work within them before pivoting to something entirely new. This led to a connection with Caspio, a company that ultimately led him to work with PPM in 2012.

His first foray into the solar industry was with Solar Oregon, where he played a pivotal role in creating the U.S.’s first digital Renewable Energy Credit (REC) attestation process and the Solarize Now! campaigns. This was a milestone in an industry where such processes had previously been long and tedious.

The heart of Hadley’s solar advocacy and mentorship

When asked what keeps him in the solar industry, Hadley cited his love for empowering people to take control of their utility costs, something most think is beyond their grasp. He also cherishes the relationships he’s built along the way, particularly enjoying mentoring younger individuals in the industry to help them achieve their personal goals.

When asked about the future of the industry, Hadley has high hopes. He sees it becoming a ubiquitous part of everyday life.

We all owe a debt of gratitude to Hadley for his invaluable contributions to PPM Solar. While much of his work happens behind the scenes and may go unnoticed, it’s integral to our daily operations and long-term success. Hadley’s wealth of experience, engaging personality, and unique skill set make him an irreplaceable member of our team.

Thanks Hadley!
